Mandala pictures to print and color

Mandalas are round patterns that repeat around a center. Coloring them slowly, ring by ring, is relaxing and helps with concentration. Many teachers use them as a quiet activity after lunch or before a test.

Make more of your coloring time

Pick three or four colors that go well together and repeat them around each ring. Fine-tip markers and sharp colored pencils work best for the small shapes.

  • Choose a palette of three or four colors first.
  • Color from the center outwards.
  • Use one mandala a day as a calm-down activity.

Questions parents ask

Are mandalas only for adults?

No. These are detailed but have no tiny shapes, so children aged 8 and up enjoy them too.

What should I color mandalas with?

Colored pencils or fine markers give the neatest result.
